Prince Rupert Regional Hospital has enhanced its surgical capabilities with the addition of a state-of-the-art Stryker 1688 AIM 4K laparoscopic tower. This $270,000 investment, funded by local groups including the Prince Rupert Rampage hockey team, the Port Authority, DP World, and the North Coast Health Improvement Society, allows surgeons to perform more precise, minimally invasive procedures. The new tower features high-definition imaging, a bright light source, and real-time monitoring, all of which improve surgical accuracy and reduce recovery time for patients. This technology not only supports better patient outcomes but also strengthens the hospital’s ability to attract and retain skilled medical professionals. The upgrade represents a major leap forward for healthcare in the region, providing local residents with more advanced care and reducing the need for travel to larger centers.
