Police in Kitimat are calling for information which may help stem the trafficking of illegal tobacco products in the community.
It comes after RCMP arrested an individual on Canada Day after finding him in possession of unmarked cigarettes during a traffic stop.
They would seize more illegal tobacco upon further inspection, and arrest the individual for illegal possession, though they were later released.
Now, police are calling for public information regarding tobacco trafficking, offering a $2,000 reward for anonymous tips which lead to an arrest.
