Alcohol kept RCMP in Kitimat busy last weekend, though officers won’t be waking up with any hangovers of their own.
It began on Friday night, when police located several groups of people consuming alcohol in public along the Kitimat River.
Officers took the time to educate the individuals on the possibility of tickets, but none were issued at the time.
But that wasn’t the case the next day, when police were called to a section of Highway 37 for reports of an erratic driver.
When officers located the driver, they would fail a breath test, resulting in a 90 day license suspension, and 30 day vehicle impoundment.
One night later, police were called to a business on the 800 block of Tsimshian Boulevard, for reports of a fight in progress.
Once on scene, officers located numerous intoxicated individuals involved in the brawl, and had two arrested for refusing to comply.
They were lodged in holding cells overnight and released without charge.
