Construction of New Mills Memorial Hospital Now Halfway Completed, Expected Opening Set for Early 2025

Construction of the new Mills Memorial Hospital is now more than 50 percent complete, according to the most recent project update.

Northern Health now expects work on the Terrace-based hospital to hit substantial completion by the end of next year.

Work to transition services to the new facility will then begin, with the new hospital expected to begin accepting patients in early 2025.

Construction of the new Seven Sisters mental health centre is also well underway, and is expected to wrap up by the end of the year.

According to the update, the project also remains on target to meet its $633 million budget.
