Two northwestern communities combined to pack numerous emergency vehicles full of food for the less fortunate this weekend.
On Saturday, RCMP detachments in both Terrace and Prince Rupert held their annual Cram-A-Cruiser fundraising event.
For Terrace, it was the 12th edition of the fundraiser, which saw volunteers set up emergency vehicles outside Save-on, Safeway, and Wholesale Club.
Community members ended up donating 5 full vehicles worth of food and other items, in addition to over $2,000 in cash and gift cards.
Meanwhile, in Prince Rupert, RCMP were holding their 2nd year of the event, and set up outside Safeway, alongside a cube van from Rainbow Chrysler.
By the end of the day, that van was also filled with food and gift donations, with over $1,100 in cash donations.
100 percent of donations and proceeds from each event will be going towards local charities, such as the Salvation Army, Terrace Churches Food Bank, and Ksan Place.
