Snowfall warnings and winter weather statements are in effect today across much of the Northeast.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning, covering the North Peace, and Fort Nelson areas, with between 10 and 20 cm of snow expected.
15 to 25 cms is also expected to fall along Highway 97, near Wonowon River, and the Pine Pass.
While the precipitation will mostly come in the form of snow, a shift to rain could prompt icy, wet, and slushy conditions on the roads.
A special weather statement is also in place for the South Peace with a mix of sun and snow accompanied by a rapid dip in temperatures.
