19 organizations in the Peace Region are set to benefit from more than $400,000 from Northern Development in support of agriculture.
Based in Fort St John, Darren and Jennifer Snider will get the biggest chunk of funding at $50,000 to go toward a planned expansion and proper sheep feeding equipment.
$15,000 in funding will go toward the Dawson Creek Exhibition and Stampede, LH Willms Inc, in Rose Prairie gets $43,000 for soil enhancing and crop covering research, and the BC Honey Producers Association will get $28,000 for research in to bee health.
Much of the funding will go to the purchasing of equipment, fence upgrades, and research projects.
