11 organizations in the Northwest are among more than 300 benefiting from a fresh funding injection to the BC Arts Council.
In total, the province is providing $12.4 million to go towards pandemic recovery and grant funding in the arts and culture sector.
$7.9 million of that will take the form of resilience supplements, ranging from $15,000 to $60,000 for each organization.
In addition, $4.5 million will be directed to top up the Arts Impact Grant Program, raising its total budget to above $8 million.
A few of the groups receiving funding in the Northwest include: the Bulkley Valley Community Arts Council, Haida Heritage Centre, Bella Coola Music Festival, Museum of Northern BC, and the Prince Rupert Community Arts Council.
