A new Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Osisko Development and the District of Wells.
That agreement aims to guide discussions between the parties as the Cariboo Gold Project gets closer to fruition.
According to Osisko, the project, which is still seeking approval, would bring more than 450 new jobs to the Cariboo.
Lifespan estimates for the project, which is hoping for approval as early as this year, currently sit at 15 years, with optimism that it could outlast that estimate.
