Terrace RCMP were met with flames when they attended a local business last week after reports of a possible break-in.
On the evening of March 21st, police were called to a business on the 4500 block of Lakelse Avenue, in response to an alarm, and reports of a smashed window.
When they arrived on scene, they found an on-going fire had filled the second story of the business with smoke.
Crews from the Terrace Fire Department attended and were able to extinguish the blaze.
An extensive amount of damage, separate from that caused by the fire, was noted within the building’s offices by police.
RCMP believe the fire to be suspicious, and launched an investigation alongside the Forensic Investigation Section.
Anyone with any information they believe to be of assistance is asked to contact Terrace RCMP at 250 638 7400.
