Fresh funds are on the way for a Regional Mapping Project in Burns Lake, courtesy of the Prince Rupert Port Authority.
That project seeks to foster economic growth in the area around the Village of Burns Lake.
It aims to do so by identifying and cataloging existing producers, their products and volumes, and other relevant factors to marketing and logistics.
Through this work, the community will be better positioned to ascertain future development opportunities, and accelerate the establishment of a diverse, resilient, industrial base.
A total of $10,000 is being contributed toward the project by the Port Authority, via their Export Development Fund.
