Central Mountain Air and the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation have finalized a new transportation deal with Newcrest Mining.
That deal will ensure the airline continues to provide air charter service for crews working at Red Chris mine for the next two years.
CMA first began offering chartered service to the mine in 2012, and has been officially servicing the Red Chris workforce since 2018.
Additionally, the contract further cements the partnership between the airline and TNDC, initially formed in September of last year.
The new agreement also adds to the extensive collaboration between the TNDC and Newcrest.
TNDC provides ground transportation for workers heading between the mine and Dease Lake airport, as well as other industrial and development services.
