Roads in Williams Lake are set to improve this year, thanks to just under 1.8 million dollars in municipal funding.
Yesterday, Council gave budgetary approval to the work to rehabilitate a number of roads in the City Centre.
Most of the work will focus on re-paving initiatives, though the City says they have a long list of projects they hope to complete.
Last year saw the City invest 1.2 million in road paving work, but they say that their early approval of the budget allowed the city to save over 200 thousand dollars.
This year’s early approval will allow them to focus on central roads such as 4th and 5th Avenues, and a large stretch of Mackenzie Avenue.
