With less than a week to go until Christmas, the Salvation Army is hoping for a boost of holiday generosity.
Compared to previous years, Salvation Army Kettle donations are down across BC, by as much as 50 percent in some communities.
Traditionally, nearly 70 percent of funds raised annually by the charitable organization are acquired during November and December.
This year, the Salvation Army set a fundraising goal of 5 million dollars for British Columbia, a mark they don’t appear likely to hit.
On Friday, Steve Little and CFNR will be on location outside the BC Liquor Store from 11:00 to 3:00 raising money for the Kettles.
