Indigenous knowledge and experiences will continue to inform projects at the University of BC, thanks to a fresh Memorandum of Understanding.
Signed between the University and the Tsilhqot’in National Government, the agreement will help advance the University’s Indigenous Strategic Plan.
The MoU will ensure collaboration with the TNG on future projects, as well as the incorporation of their knowledge, values, and environmental practices.
It will also ensure that research is undertaken in a culturally safe manner, in a setting free of discrimination for Indigenous partners.
UBC and the TNG have been working together for several years on various projects, and the agreement ensures that will continue.
