Williams Lake has announced its plans for the just under 150 thousand dollars remaining in its Covid Safe Restart Grant Funding.
Twenty non-profit groups in the City will be able to apply for up to 1,250 dollars each in hardship grants through the City’s website.
Just under 40 thousand will go towards remodeling the Kiwanis Park tennis court in to pickleball courts.
And around 4,500 will go in to the City’s pandemic fund.
But the vast majority of the funds, an estimated 80 thousand, will go towards offering licensing fee relief to the City’s businesses.
Continuing a program from this year, the City will be waiving half of business licensing fees through 2022.
In total, Williams Lake was given roughly 2.6 million dollars from BC’s Covid Safe Restart Program last year.
