Trans Mountain has restarted operation on its pipeline following a precautionary three week shut down.
Excessive flooding and landslides experienced in the South over the past few weeks necessitated the temporary shut down of the 1,150 km pipeline.
Yesterday, assessment and repair efforts hit a point where the Crown Corporation felt safe restarting the massive pipeline.
Additional repair work, such as armoring the riverbanks, adding ground coverage to certain sections, and relocating others, will continue.
Trans Mountain is monitoring post-restart operations on the pipeline by ground, air, and technology via its control centre.
