Log supply chain issues have forced Skeena Sawmills to shut down operations for the remainder of the week.
According to the mill, a slew of issues have prevented them from being able to obtain enough logs to continue operations.
Recently, massive flooding which destroyed infrastructure in the South has restricted the ability to transport supply.
In addition, Covid restrictions have limited the amount of available truck drivers to deliver the supply.
Before that, the wildfires also played a hand in hampering supply, meaning the Mill has been seeing issues for some time, which have now come to a head.
At this moment, the plan is for the Mill to restart operations on Monday, if possible.
