The public safety minister for BC has sent out a statement asking residents to monitor the weather forecast this week since more storms are expected to be coming soon.
Mike Farnworth also said that over 65-hundred people are registered as evacuees, and that people whose homes got flooded last week can receive a grant of two thousand dollars from the combined funds of the Canadian Red Cross and the province.
Environment Canada has sent out their own warning saying that a storm is likely to hit BC’s South Coast later tonight.
The station also mentioned that yet another one of these storms is expected to happen on Saturday as well, with the total accumulation of rain for both storms expected to add up to over 100 millimeters.
