Non-urgent surgeries are continuing to be postponed in BC as hospitals across the province struggle with near-capacity patient intakes.
Last week, 375 surgeries were postponed provincewide, with 3 in Northern Health, and 159 in Interior Health, although some of the Interior postponements can be blamed on the flooding.
In total, roughly 80 percent of acute care beds in the province are currently occupied, while 63 percent of critical care beds are full.
In total, 135 patients have now been transferred from Northern Health to other Authorities, including 9 from the Northeast since Thursday.
