Jason Klein has been selected as the new CEO of LNG Canada, bringing two decades of energy industry experience.
Klein takes on the role after serving as Shell Canada’s VP of Integrated Gas since 2016.
Part of his duties in that role included providing oversight and governance to the now 60 percent complete Kitimat-based project.
Prior to his position with Shell, Klein worked for BG Group for 13 years, before their takeover by Shell.
During that time he served numerous roles, including LNG Development, and subsequently became VP of Us Energy Transition Strategy.
Klein will take the role effective immediately, and replaces outgoing CEO Peter Zebedee, who stepped down in March after accepting a similar role with Suncor Energy Inc.
