A Cariboo Search and Rescue truck stolen from Williams Lake last week has been recovered, though some equipment is still missing.
Reports from the public led RCMP in Alexis Creek to locate the vehicle on Saturday, after being reported missing on Monday.
There was some damage done to the vehicle, the extent of which must still be assessed, possibly necessitating repairs before it can return to service.
In addition, a number of specialized rescue tools are still missing, including a combinations tool, hydraulic ram, and hoses and pumps, all branded Holmatro.
No arrests were made when the truck was discovered, and the investigation is on-going.
If you have any information which may help police locate the tools, or assist in the investigation, you are asked to contact Williams Lake RCMP at 250 392 6211.
