Drivers in the Northwest are well aware of just how treacherous and unforgiving Highway 37 can be between Kitimat and Kitwanga.
Even in the best of weather conditions, the winding road can prove difficult to safely navigate, and when it becomes slick and icy, it often turns deadly.
Just last week, we saw two children and their mother lose their lives on the only route connecting Kitimat with Terrace.
Sadly, that wasn’t an isolated occurrence, and drivers in the area have had enough of the road’s devastating conditions being overlooked.
An e-mail has been set up to collect all complaints, stories, and bad experiences on the road in one place.
Anyone with concerns relating to the highway should e-mail them to Hwy37concerns@gmail.com.
Collected concerns will then be sent to the Ministry of Transportation, local MLA’s, and other involved parties.
