Telus made a major announcement today regarding a project looking to make certain services more available to Canadians.
They let it be known that they have completed the rollout for their first phase of mitigation to the Next-Generation 9-1-1 services in both BC and Alberta.
This project’s intention is to open up the technological possibilities of getting enhanced information to first responders in the field.
Some of the enhanced features that Next-Gen 9-1-1 will bring include video and photo sharing, more precise location data and will even create the possibility for connected vehicles to contact public safety services independently.
Telus will also be partnering with the CRTC in order to make sure that this network will be able to work properly.
