Staff and students at Coast Mountain College’s Terrace campus recently underwent naloxone training.
So far, two sessions educating attendees on how to properly administer the possibly life-saving medicine, have been held at the school.
More are being planned for the future, thanks to Suicide Prevention Student Engagement Officer Emma De Vynck.
In the fall semester alone, De Vynck coordinated three Beyond the Blues events in the Northwest, a Stressbuster Day, and numerous other mental health related events.
More training and programs will be announced next semester.
