Students at the College of New Caledonia’s Quesnel campus interested in learning a new language are in luck.
Beginning next month, the College will be launching a 16 week program to introduce students to the Dakelh or Yinka Dene languages.
Dubbed Aboriginal Studies 150-Conversational Carrier, the course will be taught by Elders Ellie Peters, and Doreen Patrick.
Classes will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays at 5:00, beginning on January 4th, and running through to April 22nd.
They will take place in the Quesnel Tillicum Society/ Native Friendship Centre.
Students can earn credits through the course which be applied to the Associate of Arts Aboriginal Studies Degree, or an Aboriginal Studies Certificate.
