A break and enter suspect made it less than a kilometre before Prince George RCMP were able to apprehend him on Sunday.
Thanks to a witness report, RCMP responded to a business the 1600 block of Victoria Street just before 3:00 in the afternoon.
A quick review of surveillance footage revealed the man entering the business through a side door before departing with merchandise in hand.
After a quick search, police were able to find 27 year-old Michael Felix just two blocks from the initial break and enter.
Felix is a well known property offender in the area, and was arrested on charges of break and enter and theft.
He has since received a Release Order to remain in the community until his next court appearance.
