Two more arrests have been made along the Coastal GasLink pipeline route in Wet’suwet’en territory.
Just over a week has passed since 29 Gidimt’en land defenders were arrested during an RCMP injunction enforcement along the route.
Yesterday morning, a police patrol along the route came across a burning vehicle blocking an access road, and three individuals dressed in camouflage.
Two of the individuals were arrested on mischief charges, and contempt of a court order, but were later released on promises to avoid the area and return to court.
RCMP say they will be maintaining a presence in the area to ensure the roads remain unobstructed.
