Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc Chief Roseanne Casimir will represent British Columbia First Nations when they visit the Pope next month.
Yesterday, the Assembly of First Nations announced the 13 delegates they would be sending to the Vatican to meet with Pope Francis.
From the Dene Nation, and representing the Northwest Territories, Chief Norman Yakeleya, has been selected as delegate lead.
Taylor Behn-Tsakoza, of the Fort Nelson First Nation, will also attend as one of two youth representatives among the delegation.
Alongside delegations from the Inuit, and Métis, the delegation will depart for Rome on December 14th, and meet with the Pope on the 20th.
