Residents on the North and Central Coast should prepare for another day for rain and wind.
High streamflow advisories have been issued for the areas around Prince Rupert, Kitimat, Hartley Bay, Kemano, and surrounding tributaries.
Winds are expected to stay strong, but die down compared to yesterday’s extremes.
100 to 200 millimetres of rain is expected along the coastal sections.
On the inland, both Terrace and Kitimat are facing rainfall warnings, with totals expected between 60 and 80 millimetres.
That rainfall has led to significant water pooling along Highway 37 between Kitimat and Terrace, even causing flooding at a number of park and picnic sites along the road.
Road conditions remain poor, and it is suggested residents avoid driving whenever possible.
