A wildfire burning northeast of Vanderhoof has doubled in size since it was discovered Tuesday.
The BC Wildfire Service says the Dog Creek Trail fire is now estimated at 150 hectares.
Crews have managed to put a guard along the south flank of the wildfire while the blaze is most active on the northeast edge.
There are 50 firefighters, two helicopters, and two pieces of heavy equipment battling the flames.
Crews could get some help from Mother Nature as rain is in the forecast over the next three days.
