The Terrace RCMP are once again calling on the community to help fill police cruisers with food and donations during the 15th annual Cram-a-Cruiser event. This year’s campaign takes place on Saturday, December 13, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at both Safeway and Save-On-Foods.
All donations collected will be shared between the Terrace Church’s Food Bank and Ksan Place. Both organizations report rising demand as the holiday season approaches and say community support is essential in helping local families access nutritious food.
RCMP officers, support staff, family members, and local Sheriffs will be stationed at each location to accept non-perishable food items or financial contributions. Suggested items include cereals, canned vegetables and fruits, shelf-stable milk, baby products such as formula and diapers, peanut butter, pasta and sauces, rice, oats, and canned chicken or turkey. Every contribution helps make a meaningful difference for residents in need.
Organizers say community response to past Cram-a-Cruiser events has been strong, and they hope to surpass last year’s totals. Visitors are encouraged to stop by, say hello, and help cram the cruisers full of donations. There’s even a possibility that Santa may make a special appearance to support the cause.
