One of the largest cruise ships ever to visit the Port of Prince Rupert may have to delay her next trip, after making unexpected contact with a dock.
Operated by Princess Cruises, the 3,080 passenger Ruby Princess collided with a dock in San Francisco yesterday morning.
It had been in the middle of a 10-day round-trip from Alaska, which had stopped off in Prince Rupert earlier this week.
While the gash caused to the side of the vessel as a result is minimal, the company says they are unsure when it will leave port once more.
But, they are confident any delays will be minor, and say they are still planning to board passengers for another journey soon.
It’s next stop in Prince Rupert is currently scheduled for July 13th.
