New installment of Northern Healthy Communities Fund sees 17 recipients

A new installment of the Northern Healthy Communities Fund will help to develop stronger health services.

There will be a total of 17 projects splitting the total $3.8 million in funding.

Among those will be Kitselas Five Tier System LP hiring a village student housing manager, the Gitlaxdax Nisga’a Terrace Society will hire a wellness coach and a new residential treatment facility in Fort St John.

Also included is more clinical counselling for those with mental health and addiction challenges in Chetwynd, and increased anti-violence programming in the Peace Region.
