Terrace Fire Crews Respond to Small Fire in Brush Across the Highway from Wal-Mart

Fire crews in Terrace are responding to a small fire which broke out along Highway 16, across from the Wal-Mart late this afternoon.

While it is unclear what caused the blaze, it appears to have ignited a small pile of wood debris in the field beside the road.

A number of fire trucks are at the scene working to extinguish the fire before it grows, with RCMP vehicles also on-site.

We will provide updates when they become available.

It comes with fire danger ratings in the City currently set to high, as residents prepare for record-breaking heat this week.

Category two and three open fires also remain banned in the region.
