BC Transit Forced to Reduce Service in Kitimat Next Week Due to Driver Shortage as They Call for Applicants

A shortage of available drivers is forcing BC Transit to make some changes to their Kitimat schedule next week.

Each of the changes will take effect on Sunday, and will remain in place through Saturday.

During that time, both regular and handyDART services will be cancelled on Sunday, and Thursday handyDART services will be by medical appointment only.

Additional service on Friday will also be cancelled, with routes running on the same schedules as every other weekday.

BC Transit says they are looking for Kitimat-area residents interested in applying to become a driver, with information on how to apply at this link.
