Tonight we are featuring Freda Campbell, who is a member of the Tahltan nation and the recipient of the 2023 indigenous Trailblazer award by Women in mining Canada ! Freda Campbell is the community relations Director for the Skeena Resources Limited. Skeena is a Canadian mining exploration company focused on revitalizing the past-producing Eskay Creek mine in Tahltan Territory. Freda’s is here to share her views on the progress of the mining industry and what can be more done to improve participation. Freda is also here to share the importance of meaningful engagement with indigenous nations on whose land resources projects are being located free to also explain Skeena’s approach towards community and indigenous engagement.
