Private Reward of up to $100,000 Offered for Information on Parties Responsible for February Attack on Coastal GasLink Worksite

A private reward of up to $100,000 is being offered for information relating to a violent attack on a Coastal GasLink worksite from February.

In the almost 10 months since launching an investigation into the attack, Houston RCMP say they have been unable to turn up any new leads.

Initially, police were called to the site on the Marten Forest Service Road by CGL Security just past midnight on February 17th.

According to reports from security at the time, roughly 20 individuals, some armed with axes, had begun attacking security guards and equipment.

Police say they arrived to find makeshift blockades, flames, and even a school bus blocking access to the road.

CGL says the damage dealt to vehicles and equipment as a result of the attack is in the multi-millions.

Now, the Independent Contractors and Business Association and Crimestoppers have come together to offer a reward for information leading to the arrest and charge of the responsible party.
