Three Indigenous groups in BC will be receiving funding to go to mental health supports for Residential School survivors.
Yesterday, the Province announced that 1.5 million of the 12 million dollars promised for Residential School survivors would go to the groups.
Of that, 500 thousand will go to the Tsow-Tun Le Sum Society, 250 thousand to the Mètis Nation of BC, and 750 thousand to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society.
The money will go towards cultural and mental health supports for family and survivors of the Residential School tragedy.
