Just after 5 a.m. Prince George RCMP received a report of a collision on Highway 16 near Lower Mud River Road. An unloaded tractor trailer unit lost control while coming down a hill. The crash did block the entire road preventing vehicles from travelling, no injuries were reported.
Just before 7:30 a.m. RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover on Highway 16 near Norman Lake Road. Officers and emergency crews went to the scene. The driver of the vehicle was trapped inside a small passenger vehicle. Beaverley Volunteer Fire Department removed the driver from the vehicle with equipment. Paramedics transported him to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The highway then reopened around 8:30 a.m..
Prince George RCMP would like to remind the public to take extra precautions when travelling as quick changes in temperature can occur.
