The Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce announced today that it has named Janet Song to serve as interim Executive Director.
Song is originally from Toronto and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in commerce. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo. Her previous position was the result of a partnership between the Chamber and EcoTrust Canada’s North Coast Innovation Lab. She has been promoting collaboration through the Covid-19 pandemic.
Song said in a press release, “Since moving to Prince Rupert, I’ve become very rooted here, and have embraced my passion for making community connections, Rupert is going through a pivotal period in its evolution, and the Chamber provides a steadying and forward-looking influence.”
