A new Search and Rescue facility will be established in Terrace. The Prince Rupert Port Authority announced today its investment of $100,000 into establishing the Search and Rescue Emergency Operations Centre. This centre will help grow regional emergency response capacity in the Northwest.
This space will be vital for faster emergency callouts and will act as an Emergency Operations Centre in the case of disaster response and relief.
The Terrace Search and Rescue Society will be able to host training as well as offer community members and organizations a use of their space.
The total value of this project is $500,000.
