Dawson Creek RCMP are still trying to get to the bottom of a 45-year-old missing persons case.
Murphy Williams was last seen at 3 a.m. on August 15th, 1974. Williams had been working for two days at a farm near Mile 30 on the Alaska Highway.
The farmer said Williams had been acting strangely, and when his employer woke up the next morning, Williams was nowhere to be found in the house or on the property.
At the time of his disappearance, Murphy Williams was described as:
- Indigenous
- 35 years old
- Approximately 170 lbs
- Approximately 5’8 tall
Dawson Creek RCMP continue to investigate leads and follow up on information already provided.
Investigators have used police dogs, RCMP Air Support, Search and Rescue, and local community groups.
