Prince Rupert RCMP have been keeping an eye out for speeders on Ridley Island Road after complaints from the public.
Between Monday July 22 and Wednesday July 24, Mounties nabbed two drivers for excessive speeding and another for driving while prohibited.
The speed limits on Ridley Island Road are 50 km/h and 80/km. Excessive spending is when a driver is going 40 km/h over the posted limit.
The fine for excessive speeding is $368, a seven-day impound for your vehicle, and the towing and storage impound fees.
The Prince Rupert detachment is encouraging people to call in any traffic offences and will continue to set up speed enforcement in the community.
