An already wanted Terrace man now finds himself facing more charges after shoving a police officer on Canada Day.
At around 2:30 in the morning, RCMP received reports of a woman screaming for help on the 4500 block of Lazelle Avenue.
When they arrived on scene, police found two women and one man nearby.
Officers were able to quickly determine that the man was in breach of no contact conditions relating to a prior assault charge.
When officers attempted to arrest the man, he fought back, shoving an officer against their vehicle and damaging the door.
He was charged with mischief, resisting and obstructing a peace officer, and breach of conditions, and was later released on further conditions.
