In an effort to promote a healthier and greener community, the Town of Smithers is moving ahead with their Active Transportation Plan.
On April 15th, the Town will officially launch the plan, which will support active forms of transportation such as walking or biking.
Recognizing that the community will drive this project, the town is hoping to shape the plan around its residents.
With that in mind, a public survey and citizen photo mapping exercise will open up on launch day.
Residents are being asked to capture and send in photos which highlight the barriers and opportunities for active transportation in Smithers.
On top of that, the Town is holding an Ideas Fair off Main Street on May 1st from 3:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon.
