Prince Rupert City Council has given its support to a second retail cannabis shop.
Clarity Cannabis BC has applied for a licence to sell recreational marijuana from a store at 528 Third Avenue West.
Before getting a licence from the Liquor and Cannabis Licensing Branch, a business first needs a positive recommendation from local government.
The City received three comments about the proposal; one positive, one asking for another location to be chosen, and a third worried about the store’s impact on nearby businesses.
In February, council approved a cannabis outlet to be located at 1100 Park Avenue.
