A short police chase in Prince George yesterday led to the arrest of a car thief.
Early in the day, RCMP received reports of a truck stolen from Oak Street.
The vehicle was located yesterday evening near the intersection of Highway 97 and Chief Lake Road, though police opted not to pursue after the vehicle sped away.
Police were able to locate the vehicle a second time on North Kelly Road and, this time, were able to deploy a spike belt and pursue the suspect.
The 30 year-old female attempted to flee on foot in the aftermath, but police were able to chase her down and make the arrest.
She is well known to police and an investigation is on-going.
