Environment Canada says 13 temperature records were set in BC Monday, one going all the way back to 1800’s.
Burns Lake reached a high of 34.1 degrees, up from the previous record of 33.3 set in 2009.
Williams lake also broke another record yesterday, hitting 33.2.
But the hottest temperature on record Monday was Lillooet at 40 degrees, the hottest it’s been since records began in 1881.
Environment Canada says after today, cooler temperatures will start to make their way across the province, starting on the coast.
