Wildfire smoke is expected to affect a large swath of Northern British Columbia over the next day of so, but the haze isn’t just from local fires.
Health authorities say smoke from Eurasian wildfires is also expected to waft across the entire province north of Quesnel.
The provincial government has issued a smoky skies bulletin advising residents that the haze could have health impacts, especially for people with pre-existing health conditions, the elderly, infants, and children.
Health officials are advising people to use their common sense, monitor any symptoms, and try to reduce exposure to smoke.

The province is expected to update the smoky skies bulletin Wednesday.
